This is the second Aion vs WoW article and this time I’m going to compare the PvP aspect of both games. Keep in mind that when I mention WoW I only mean the original version of WoW (before the first expansion) because that is the only WoW I played and I  had multiple level 60 characters then I quit few days before the Burning Crusade Expansion. Also, when I talk about  In World of Warcraft you can experience the PvP part in a PvP servers by killing the opposing faction players in the world (World PvP) or by going Battle Grounds (instanced organized PvP) or Arenas. While in Aion you can kill the opposing faction by going in a rift (which has limited time and number of entries) or by going to the Abyss. You can also participate in Fortress Sieges against the opposing faction or the neutral Balaur race (hence, PvPvE).

So, your survival abilities grow greater than your damage abilities generally which makes PvP slower. Attacked by the same level character should result in a long fight as opposed to the possible 1-10 seconds fight of WoW. However, you will feel awkward when you fight a caster and you step behind them trying to make them fail their casting but they will automatically spin toward you and the spell casting is successful. This is true to everything which means jumping around like monkeys doesn’t make your opponent’s life harder. This is bad for some players but good for others.
